Join us in our family’s working bakery, where we’ll share our trade secrets for creating Scottish classics like melt-in-your-mouth shortbread, hearty oatcakes, and our award-winning Selkirk Bannock.

Our classes are designed to be fun and fully tailored to your group—perfect for small gatherings of friends, families, or visitors seeking an authentic local experience they’ll cherish for years to come.

Each class lasts approximately two hours, depending on the group size, and is held on any afternoon between 1:30 and 5pm. Classes accommodate groups of 4 to 8 people and are suitable for participants aged 16 and up. No prior baking experience is required!

Soft but delicious

I've recently had a wonderful experience learning how to bake Scottish classics such as oatcakes and Selkirk Bannock. Even with zero baking experience, Isla & Iain managed to turn me into a baker for the day. This skill can now be continued and expanded upon at home. Not only do you get a bag full of your baking home with you, the class is full of interesting history and general baking tips, with no questions too daft.
This is a thoroughly entertaining and educational class that proves to be all too quick. However, in case you cant remember all of what you were taught, the recipes are E-mailed to you for later review. Definitely a recommend.
